General Visa Guidelines for International Patients

  1. Medical Visa or OCI card (overseas citizen of India) is mandatory for foreign nationals seeking medical treatment in India.
  2. The must have a medical visa/OCI card for any kind of treatment including investigations, diagnostic tests, indoor admission of the patients, major operations, interventions.
  3. Foreign nationals can only at the best go for an OPD consultation with nonmedical Visa.
  4. Must avoid liberal recommendations for medical visa extension.
  5. In case of emergency normal Visa can be converted to medical visa. Patients have to apply for the conversion at the regional FRRO office.
  6. Couples with Foreign nationality and OCI card holders are barred from seeking surrogacy in India. They can avail fertility treatment for themselves under Medical Visa.

How to plan your travel and stay in India for IVF Treatment

  1. If you have not had a fertility evaluation done before, you can have your initial consultation over Skype consult. We would advise you on how to plan your visit to India. You would have to undergo Pre IVF assessment at our clinic, following which will outlay your treatment plan.
  2. The Pre IVF Assessment takes at the max three days. Depending upon the type of treatment, you may be required to stay from between 15 days to one month.
  3. You can plan your stay in India in such a way that you can have the fertility evaluation and treatment in one go. Or If you are coming down for a week say, we can get the initial assessments done and based on the assessment and advice plan for you treatment in the coming month.

VISA Formalities

  1. We will need the following details for issuing VISA assistance letter:
    1. Husbands name and Age
    2. Wife’s Name and Age
    3. Scanned copy Passport (page 1, address page) of both husband and wife.
    4. Complete residential address.
